Important Home cover information

We want to make sure we're doing what we can to support your customers who wish to welcome people displaced by the conflict in Ukraine into their homes as guests.

Everything you need to know

  • There's no need to let us know if your customer is taking in someone fleeing the conflict in Ukraine, and their cover won't be impacted.
  • Their guests’ belongings will be covered within their Home Contents policy limit.
  • Loss or damage to their home or belongings (under their Buildings or Contents policy) by insured events such as fire, escape of water or theft, will be covered - even if one of their guests is responsible.
  • If they have a Home Contents policy, they’re covered against a public liability claim if a guest is injured and they’re found to be responsible.
