Look after your mental health 

10 October is World Mental Health Day and it’s important to remember your emotional and psychological wellbeing is as important as your physical health. 

That’s why we’ve put together a few simple suggestions so you can look after your mental health:

  • Have a healthy balanced diet 
  • Exercise regularly 
  • Talk about your feelings 
  • Learn new skills – it helps you boost self-confidence and you might even meet new people
  • Practice kindness, even in the smallest things – from saying ‘thank you’ to those who helped you to volunteer your time helping other people or causes
  • Cultivate mindfulness – pay more attention to the present moment 
  • Never be afraid of asking for help
